MACCA preaches civic engagement, enhancing social capital...etc. MACCA also has made Humanitarian projects part of its overaching mission. This is how the idea of organizing a clothes and toys collection drive came about. What better way to bring notoriety to this mission within the community and beyond. Members of the community are asked to drop off some of the toys and clothes that they no longer have any use for (this is different than old and decripit stuff). These donated articles will then be shipped to Morocco to benefit needy children and especially homeless kids. Who better to launch this effort than kids themselves? MACCA’s youngest members leading an effort to collect items for needy children in Morocco with a staff of volunteers overseeing the work and making sure that everything runs smoothly. MACCA executives have traveled to Morocco and discussed the matter with organizations that have a long and a well established track record in this area of social relief. Bayti is one of the organizations that is going to be coordinating with MACCA in facilitating this project in Morocco
